This session focuses on the vital role dads play in the early education journey and how to ensure your child is safe and supported in a childcare environment.
Meet the Speaker
Tracey Ellaway is the Director of an “Excellent” rated Early Learning Centre with nearly 20 years of experience in early childhood education. A firm believer that “it takes a village” to raise a child, Tracey is passionate about helping parents navigate the childcare system with confidence while fostering kindness and safety in their children’s lives.
In this session, we will cover:
Understanding the Environment: How to research facilities, check safety certifications, and understand what quality ratings really mean for your child.
Communicating with Caregivers: Tips for establishing open lines of communication and ensuring staff understand your child’s specific needs and your safety expectations.
Teaching Children About Safety: Practical ways to discuss personal boundaries and use role playing to give your child the confidence to speak up.
Monitoring and Engagement: How to stay involved in the childcare community and use regular check ins to monitor your child's wellbeing.
