Health:
Goal: Replicate Dads Group IMC
Success looks like: Ambassador(s) setup a working relationship with a Hospital/Health Care Provider and DG to implement funded DG Programs (IMC full program or other elements of the IMC)
Anticipated activities:
Identify and engage with the major maternity hospitals in each state
Build initial relationships with hospital executives and administrators, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders/decision makers
Setup zoom or face to face meetings with Dads Group management and hospital management to secure their interest to implement the program in their HHS (Hospital Health Service)
Support the deal closing and contract process where possible
Support the media release of the program launch
Government:
Goal: Secure Government Funding For the IMC
Success looks like: Ambassador(s) raise awareness about the IMC and its importance to the new and expecting families, including government officials and decision-makers who have the power to allocate funding.
Anticipated activities:
Engage with government officials, such as members of Parliament and officials at the Department of Health
Work with government agencies, such as the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC)to promote the importance of the IMC
Leverage government programs, such as the National Maternity Services Plan
This could involve advocating for increased funding for these programs and encouraging states and territories to use the funding to support Dads Group
Build coalitions with other organisations and advocates who share the goal of improving maternal and child health outcomes, such as the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)
Partnership and collaborations:
Goal: Build partnerships and collaborations with other organisations to achieve
DG Program Delivery Objectives (Delivery Partner eg Talked, SMS4Dads, PANDA, Healthy Male)
Sustainability Requirements (Funds, Resources)
Anticipated activities:
Identify and secure partnerships with organisations that share the group's mission and values
Identify funding opportunities and secure funding to support the partnership. This can help ensure that each organisation has the necessary resources to achieve program delivery objectives and sustainability requirements
Fundraising:
Goal:
Generate funds to sustain the objectives and endeavours through fundraising opportunities and contribute to the growth of our annual Man With a Pram event.
Anticipated activities:
Identify fundraising opportunities. This can include events, grants, corporate partnerships, and individual donations
Set SMART Goals (Specific measurable dollar targets and deadlines)
Research and apply for grants. This can include government grants, foundation grants, and corporate grants
Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy
Contribute to the growth of the annual Man With a Pram event encouraging participants to donate and contribute to the event's growth
Social media:
Goal:
Increase the visibility and reach of Dads Group and our programs on social media platforms, e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
Anticipated activities:
Develop a strong online presence for the Dads Group on social media platforms.
Create and share regular content that promotes the group's mission and values.
Engage with members and followers on social media to build a strong online community.
Community outreach:
Goal:
Expand the reach of Dads Group by building partnerships with local organisations and businesses.
Objectives:
Develop and maintain relationships with organisations and companies that share the group's mission and values.
Quantify and Qualify SMART Goals with timelines
Plan or participate in community events and initiatives to raise awareness about the group and its activities.
Identify and pursue opportunities to collaborate with other organisations to achieve shared goals.
Promote the group's events and initiatives to the local community through various channels.
